Practice Schedule

PRACTICE SCHEDULE:

Reminder: All sophomores, juniors, and seniors that make JV or Varsity will be enrolled in the A4 Volleyball Conditioning Class. This is a year-round class.


Practice Schedule: (Practice times may be modified at any time. This schedule is approximate.)
Aug. 12: 9-12 & 1-3

Aug. 13: 9-12 & 1-3

Aug. 16: * 12-3  (note time change)

Aug. 17: 9-12 & 1-3

Aug. 18: 9-12 & 1-3

Aug. 19: 9-12

Aug. 20-24: 3-6



Starting Aug. 25:

A Days (excluding Mondays) *JV & Varsity Only

Practice Times: A4 to approx. 4:00 p.m.


Mondays and B Days

3:00 P.M. to approx. 6:00 P.M.

**Sophomore Team will practice daily from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

* All players need to arrive 20 minutes before practice starts. You will need to help set-up nets and complete pre-practice activities. When practice starts, you need to be ready to play.

Youth Clinic Referrals

Want to know how many referrals you had at the Youth Clinic? Here are the final numbers:

Remember, for each referral you get $5 towards volleyball stuff. This can be used for the clothing package or tournament fees. (There are only two things it cannot be used for: participation fee and uniform rental fee.)

Good work to all of you that referred a few people, helped develop young players, and helped our high school program!

Fall Sports Meeting

Here is the information I just received on the Fall Sports Meeting. It will help immensely in making sure your daughter is prepared to tryout in August. Please attend.

2010 AFHS Fall Sports Parents Meeting



Parents of athletes that are participating in Fall Sports at AFHS are encouraged to attend the 2010 AFHS Fall Sports Parents Meeting.


The purpose of the meeting is to ensure that you have complete information regarding:

1- Physical Forms


2- Eligibility Forms


3- UHSAA Rules and Guidelines

We also plan to discuss issues that relate directly to AFHS Athletics. There have been several key changes to our athletic staff and we want to clearly communicate our goals and vision to the patrons of AFHS.

The athletic department has implemented a new system to communicate with parents that will allow us the opportunity to keep you well informed about grades, eligibility, outstanding requirements and other communication issues. We will introduce this program and hope parents will be in attendance to provide us with the necessary information that will allow us the opportunity to easily communicate.

Tryouts

Tryouts are coming soon! August 9, 10, and 11 from 9-12 each day. Registration will start on August 9th at 8:30.

The following TWO forms must be completed and turned in the first day of tryouts:

- Physical Form
