Summer Conditioning & Asst Coach

About a month ago, Allyce Jones was hired as an Assistant Coach. Allyce is awesome! I am so excited to have her on the coaching staff. She is going to be such an asset to this program.

Here is her bio from Club Utah's website:

Allyce Jones:
Prepped at Pleasant Grove High School in Pleasant Grove, Utah ... led team to 34-1 record and region and state championship during senior year in 2005 ... was named the 2005 State Tournament MVP in addition to being named All-Region, All-State and the Utah Valley MVP and Female Athlete of the Year ... also earned All-State and Region honors in 2004 & 2005 ... named region MVP in 2003 and 1st Team All-Region in 2002. She then went to play at Snow College then at UVU where she was named Division I Independent Defensive Player of the Year and to the All-Independent 1st Team Libero in 2007 and 2008. This is her second year coaching Club volleyball.

Summer Conditioning:
Allyce has volunteered her time over the summer to provide Speed, Agility, and Jump training. She is planning on 2-3 times a week, depending on schedules. This will be free for all girls planning on trying out this Fall.

Please fill out the following survey by May 22. This will help us to schedule at a time that works for most girls.

  3. What are you going to do for jr. high players? Will you also open your gym for post graduate players of AFHS to come workout?

  4. I will not be setting up a Junior High league this year. Hopefully in the future. During the season, the gym will only be open to current players. I have, however, considered an alumni game. This would be a great opportunity for alumni to come back and play.

  7. Hey coach! I was talking to our setter, Lesmarie, who is in Samoa, and she told me that her plane will get back the first day of tryouts. So she would miss the first day. Would that be all right?
